Green Washing

Green Washing

From a distance, it appears as a serene landscape of bright fresh washing gently moving in the breeze, the light clouds in the sky, but below the idyllic washing there is evidence of a decimated forest. And as you move closer, the image reveals itself to be drawn entirely from the repeated phrase: "WE REALLY DO CARE."

This is a meditative exploration of the gap between corporate language and ecological reality. By drawing the decimated landscape from empty promises, using the alphabet as a brush, the piece creates a visual poem about the "clean" facade we are often sold.
